These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RutuMilan website, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated to help individuals find a suitable life partner. By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering on RutuMilan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Rules & Guidelines, each of which forms part of this agreement.
2. Eligibility
RutuMilan is a matrimonial platform intended solely for individuals who are legally eligible to marry under applicable law and who are genuinely seeking a matrimonial alliance for themselves or, where permitted, are registering on behalf of an immediate family member with that person's knowledge and consent. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the applicable legal age of marriage, whichever is higher) to register.
3. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
4. Profile Content and Accuracy
You agree that all details you submit, including personal information, photographs, family details, education, occupation, and partner preferences, are true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. RutuMilan reserves the right to verify, request supporting documents for, edit, reject, or remove any profile or content that it believes is false, misleading, impersonating another person, or in violation of these Terms.
5. Membership Plans and Payments
RutuMilan offers a free membership as well as paid subscription plans that unlock additional features such as increased profile views, messaging, and visibility. Prices, features, and validity periods for paid plans are as displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase and may include applicable taxes (such as GST) shown separately at checkout. Continued access to paid features is subject to your subscription remaining active and in good standing. Cancellations and refunds for paid plans are governed exclusively by our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. Code of Conduct
You agree to use the Platform respectfully and in good faith, solely for the purpose of finding a matrimonial match. You agree not to harass, threaten, defame, or misrepresent yourself to any other member, and to communicate through the Platform in a manner consistent with our Rules & Guidelines.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not: (a) create more than one profile per individual or a profile for someone without their knowledge and consent; (b) use the Platform for any commercial solicitation, advertising, or matchmaking service other than your own matrimonial search; (c) upload obscene, offensive, defamatory, or copyrighted material you do not have rights to use; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems; or (e) use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the Platform.
8. Intellectual Property
The RutuMilan name, logo, design, and all software, text, and graphics on the Platform are the property of RutuMilan or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Platform without prior written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
RutuMilan is a platform that facilitates introductions between members; it does not guarantee a match, verify every claim made by members beyond the checks it chooses to perform, or participate in any relationship, engagement, or marriage that may result from use of the Platform. You agree to exercise your own judgment and reasonable diligence, including independent verification of any information shared by another member, before proceeding with any relationship. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RutuMilan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform or your interactions with other members.
10. Suspension and Termination
RutuMilan may suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, the Rules & Guidelines, or applicable law, or if we reasonably believe your profile is fraudulent, duplicate, or harmful to other members or the Platform. You may also close your account at any time from your account settings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
